How a transfer works

When you transfer, the caller hears ringing while your teammate's phone rings. You can't speak to your teammate before the hand-off.

  • Your teammate rings for up to 30 seconds, on every device they're signed in on.
  • When they answer, the caller is put through to them and you drop off the call.
  • If they decline or don't answer, the caller comes back to you.

Transfers reach a teammate even when they've turned on Do not disturb.
